Supported providers

This page lists the providers supported by both Nylas v3 and v2.

Supported providers in v3

The v3 Authentication APIs support the providers listed in the table below.

Provider	Description
`google`	Gmail and Google applications.
`icloud`	iCloud
`imap`	(Custom authentication only) IMAP providers. Nylas cannot read encrypted email providers, such as ProtonMail.
`microsoft`	Microsoft Graph
`virtual-calendar`	(Custom authentication only) Nylas virtual calendars.
`yahoo`	Yahoo! Mail
`ews`	Microsoft Exchange (Exchange Web Services)

The Accounts endpoint accepts the providers listed in the table below.

`custom`	A custom account that syncs using generic IMAP.
`eas`	Microsoft Exchange (ActiveSync) and Microsoft 365.
`ews`	Microsoft Exchange (Exchange Web Services)
`generic`, `imap`	IMAP providers. Nylas cannot read encrypted email providers, such as ProtonMail.
`gmail`	Gmail and Google applications.
`graph`	Microsoft Exchange (Graph)
`hotmail`, `exchange`, `office365`	Microsoft Exchange
`icloud`	iCloud (MobileMe or DotMac)
